Slug. And other things I’ve been told to hate – Hollie McNish
Hollie Mcnish is one of my two favourite contemporary poets (the other being Kae Tempest). I know what you’re thinking: “Poetry? Yawn,” but Hollie writes brutally honest poems about feminism, motherhood and fingering. Worth a read, I promise! ~ Emma

I Wrote A Book About Women’s Health – And Still Struggle To Say The V-Word
Did you know 65% of women struggle to say the words vagina and vulva? In this article Jessica Hatcher-Moore talks about her struggles with this and how it has impacted her life as well as the wider picture. Lack of clear language, taboos and embarrassment around female anatomy all contribute to psychological and physical health problems as well as disconnection from our own bodies. At The Village we are passionate about helping everyone reconnect with their bodies, heal and thrive. And go and see Sarah if you are having problems with your vagina or vulva! She doesn’t mind what words you use. ~ Yasmin

How to breathe to save your life with James Nestor
Breathing is one of the first thing we try to do when we exit the womb. It is powerful and magical and can change your physiology in a moment. We don’t use breath enough and in fact we breathe so badly it’s effecting our biology. Learn to breathe with Celest and James in this podcast on the breath. ~ Sarah P
TV
It’s such a joy when you find something that your kid wants to watch that you actually enjoy too. I’ve heard so many parents raving about Bluey and with good reason. It’s made me laugh and nearly cry and the theme tune will get stuck in your head in a good way. One of my favourite episodes is ‘Calypso’ where you see Bluey at school and her teacher is just the perfect Early Years practitioner. The creator has said that he didn’t want another show trying to teach children about numbers and letters: they simply play. Which is just as – if not more – worthwhile. Be warned, the creative energy levels of the parents in the show may make you feel a bit inadequate! ~ Molly
