Sarah Tessier, postnatal doula, says “These are my go-to snack for new parents and are an energy kick and chocolate fix all rolled into one.”

Why not make a batch for any new parents in your life? Or yourself. The simple mix-and-roll method means you can also get your kids involved in making them if you have the energy for that before eating one!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of oats

  • 1 cup of nut butter

  • 1/3 cup of chopped nuts

  • 1/3 cup maple syrup

  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla

  • 1 tablespoon of cocoa powder

Method

Mix the ingredients together in a bowl and then shape into individual balls before storing in the fridge. Makes approximately 20 energy balls.
